【摘要】:Thistestmethodisparticularlyusefulfordeterminingsmallamountsofwaterinhygroscopicmaterials.Thistestmethodissuitableforsettingspecificationsonmaterialsreferencedinthescope.Itmayalsobeusedasaninternalqualitycontroltoolandindevelopmentorresearchwork.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofwaterinphenolandrelatedmaterialssuchascresols,xylenols,naphthalene,pyridine,andquinoline.1.2Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundapplicabletoavarietyofmaterialsvaryinginwatercontentfrom100mg/kgtosolutionscontainingarelativelyhighpercentofwater.1.3Indeterminingtheconformanceofthetestresultsusingthismethodtoapplicablespecifications,resultsshallberoundedoffinaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection9.
