【摘要】:ThistestmethodcanbeusedtoobtainanestimatethetransmissionlossofbuildingelementsinalaboratorysettingwherethesourceroomandthespecimenmountingconditionssatisfytherequirementsofTestMethodE90.Theacceptabilityofthereceivingroomwillbedeterminedbyasetoffieldindicatorsthatdefinethequalityandaccuracyoftheintensityestimate.Byappropriatelyconstructingthesurfaceoverwhichtheintensityismeasureditispossibletoselectivelyexcludetheinfluenceofsoundenergypathsincludingtheeffectsfromjoints,gapsaswellasflankingsoundpaths.ThismethodmaybeparticularlyusefulwhenaccuratemeasurementsofapartitioncannotbemadeinanTestMethodE90facilitybecausethepartitionsoundinsulationislimitedbyflankingtransmissioninvolvingfacilitysourceandreceiverroomsurfaces,(forexample,thepathfromthesourceroomfloortothereceiverroomfloorviatheisolatorsandtheslabsupportingthetwo).AnnexA3discussesthisindetail.Thediscretepointmethodallowsthemappingoftheradiatedsoundintensitywhichcanbeusedtoidentifydefectsoruniquefeatures(2)ofthepartition.Currentresearchreportedintheliteratureindicatethatthereexistsabiasbetweenmeasuresoftransmissionlossobtainedusingtheintensitytechniqueandthoseobtainedusingtheconventionaltworoomreverberationtechnique(forexample,TestMethodE90,(3)and(4)).AppendixEprovidesestimatesofthebiasthatmightbeexpected.Despitethepresenceofabias,nocorrectionsaretobeappliedtothemeasureddataobtainedbythistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofairbornesoundtransmissionlossofbuildingpartitionssuchaswallsofallkinds,operablepartitions,floor-ceilingassemblies,doors,windows,roofs,panelsandotherspace-dividingbuildingelements.Itmayalsobehaveapplicationsinsectorsotherthanthebuildingindustry,althoughthesearebeyondthescope.1.2Thistestmethodmaybeusedtorevealthesoundradiationcharacteristicsofapartitionorportionthereof.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThemethodformeasuringthesoundintensityradiatedbythebuildingelementundertestdefinedbythisASTMstandardmeetsorexceedsthoseofISO15186-1.SpecialconsiderationwillhavetobegiventorequirementsforthesourceroomandspecimenmountingifcompliancewithISO15186-1isalsodesiredastheydifferfromthoseofthisstandard.
