【摘要】:Thistestmethodisanindextesttoestimateandcomparethein-planehydraulictransmissivityofoneorseveralcandidategeosyntheticsunderspecificgradientandstressconditions.Thistestmethodmaybeusedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofgeosynthetics,butcautionisadvisedsinceinformationaboutbetween-laboratoryprecisionisincomplete.Comparativetestsasdirectedin5.2.1areadvisable.5.2.1Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthisprocedureforacceptanceofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldfirstconfirmthatthetestshavebeenconductedusingcomparabletestparametersincludingspecimenconditioning,normalstress,hydraulicsystemgradient,etc.Comparativeteststhenshouldbeconductedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatareformedfromalotofthematerialinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldbeassignedrandomlytoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingtheStudentrsquo;t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforetestingisbegun.Ifbiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandsuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinlightoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedurefordeterminingthein-planetransmissivityofgeosyntheticsundervaryingnormalcompressivestressesusingaradialflowapparatus.Thetestisintendedtobeanindextestusedprimarilyforgeotextiles,althoughotherproductscomposedofgeotextilesandgeotextile-typematerialsmaybesuitablefortestingwiththistestmethod.1.2Thistestmethodisbasedontheassumptionthatthetransmissivityofthegeosyntheticisindependentoforientationoftheflowandisthereforelimitedtogeosyntheticsthathavesimilartransmissivityinalldirectionsandshouldnotbeusedformaterialswithorientedflowbehavior.1.3Thistestmethodhasbeendevelopedspecificallyforgeosyntheticsthathavetransmissivityvaluesontheorderoforlessthan2104m2/s.ConsiderusingTestMethodD4716forgeosyntheticswithtransmissivityvalueshigherthan2104m2/s.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
